Sharing how we spent the day at USJ without an Express Pass!

Here are some tips for your future visit ♥️

1. Buy tickets thru 3rd party providers (Klook, KKday, Agoda, Traveloka, etc) before your target date and go directly to the entrance gates, no need to queue at the ticket booths. In our case we just bought REGULAR 1 DAY STUDIO PASS but still maximized the experience.

2. Visit the park on weekdays and avoid Japan Holidays and weekends, makes a lot of difference with the crowd. The park is just small you can really explore the area just wear comfy shoes.

3. They let visitors in 1hr before published opening time. On our visit opening is 8am but they already let people in around 7am.

4. They inspect your bags before you enter the park, no outside food and drinks allowed but there are a lot of food stalls and restaurant inside. You can bring water (any size) inside and drink (juice, coffee) up to 100ml only.

5. Install the Official USJ app. Scan the QR passes while waiting so you can easily get timed entry tickets. You can only secure the timed entry ticket once you've entered the park. We entered 8:10am and processed the timed entry ticket for Super Nintendo World, there's only 2 timeslot left 10am and 11am, we then secured 10:20am-11:20am timed entry that day. The app is super helpful inside the park to see waiting time and even for show schedules.

6. Usually people flock at Super Nintendo World and Wizarding World of Harry Potter once the park opens, so I suggest if you already have the timed entry ticket line up to other attractions first.

7. Use the single rider line. Almost all the rides we had was on single rider line, we saved a lot of time and was able to try on more rides/attractions.

8. Bring water bottles, there are refilling stations around the park. For food we ate at Discovery Restaurant in Jurassic World, set meats start from 1,400yen to 1,900yen rice bowl (chicken, pork or beef) it already comes with a drink. Eat earlier or later than lunch time and dinner time so you can easily secure a table.

9. Don't skip the shows! Theater shows and performances are so good!
Waterworld show is superb, there's a splash zone so beware.

10. Join the No limit parade ❤️ you can dance with the cast, super enjoyable!

11. Lastly, since I am really am a Harry Potter fan haha here's what a potterhead did to enjoy. Dress up with your Hogwarts uniform! I bought mine from Shopee!

Butterbeer lines are shorter at night.

Best time to visit is before sunset so you can see how it looks like at day and at night.

Single rider line is key at Forbidden Journey ride.

There are a lot of shows on stage.

I was picked for the choosing of wand at Ollivander's Wand Show huhuhu Tip, when you enter the first room be on the second row so you can be at front in the next room! Then feel the moment and smile, with luck you might also be chosen by the cast! 😂 dream come true.

USJ takes Halloween seriously! USJ Zombie nights start at 8pm, there are zombie free zones like the Minion Park, Hello Kitty and Elmo world.

Overall, we really maximized and enjoyed our time even without the express pass!
