Day 1: Trek from Hilley to Aachalay🏕️🌨️🔥

Our journey to Poktay Dara kicked off with an exciting Day 1, trekking from Hilley to Aachalay—a total of 18 kilometers covered in 7 hours. Starting bright and early in the village of Hilley, we set out along a trail that immediately immersed us in the natural beauty of the region.

The path led us through the picturesque landscapes of Lasunay, Deolinga, and Dhap. Each stop offered its own unique charm: Lasunay greeted us with lush green meadows, while Deolinga presented a serene view of rolling hills and distant peaks. Dhap was another highlight, offering a peaceful pause to take in the surrounding tranquility and capture some stunning photos.

Throughout the day, we were treated to panoramic views of the valley, crisp mountain air, and a range of vibrant flora. The scenic beauty made each step feel lighter, with moments to stop, breathe, and simply enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature all around us. The trail was a mix of gentle slopes and steep climbs, challenging but rewarding, as we found ourselves fully absorbed in the rugged beauty of the terrain.

Finally, as we arrived in Aachalay, we were greeted by a setting sun casting a warm glow over the mountains—a perfect ending to an incredible first day on the trail.
