THE HOT SAUCE L.P. SERIES
This is the first third of the HOT SAUCE collection. It is dedicated to the Trojan Records sub-labels and related labels between 1965 and 1975, the year where Trojan was sold and coincidently the end of a golden era for Reggay.

HOT SAUCE Volume 3 features outstanding Jamaican Rocksteady, Boss Reggae & early Reggay tracks including rare songs, overlooked gems, hidden treasures and underground hits.
The record labels showcased on this third volume are Amalgamated, Duke, Gayfeet, Grape, Harry J, Randy’s, Rio, Treasure Isle, Upsetter and Trojan.

The tracks here have been selected firstly according to their artistic quality, secondly for their complementarity and their rarity.
They are all outstanding tracks, “killer tracks”, there is no “filler” whatsoever. Particular attention has been paid to the way the songs are sequenced (or “mixed”) so that the album builds up nicely and gradually, generally starting with the Rock Steady songs on the A side and the 70s songs on the B side.

HOT SAUCE is a musical journey across the record labels, the diverse music genres, the Jamaican artists involved and their evolution during the golden era of Reggay. Not since the Trojan’s “Tighten Up” series in the early 1970’s has there been such a compilation series dedicated to these labels.
