About Deras Dam :
Deras Dam, is a water reservoir situated within Chandaka Wildlife Sanctuary, near Bhubaneswar, Orissa.It is 3rd largest dam in orissa which was built for irrigation purpose and for elephants in the Chandaka Elephant sanctuary.One of the hotspot for picnic and oriya film industry. The distance between Railway Station to Deras Dam is 22 Km by road.

Deras Dam is located on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar and in the vicinity of Chandaka National Park. It's about 20km from the main railway station. The dam is the third largest one in Odisha.
