Okay, let's be honest - how many times have you right-clicked to save an Amazon product image, even though you knew you probably weren't supposed to?

Well, today we're fixing that once and for all.

I'm going to show you Amazon's free tool that's been hiding in your Associates dashboard this whole time. It's actually easier and faster than the sneaky save-as method, plus you'll get your images AND properly formatted affiliate links all in one go. Win-win!

Don't worry if you're not a tech person - I promise this is super straightforward. I'll walk you through every single step, and by the end, you'll wonder why you ever did it the old way.

I know I talk fast in the video, so here are the steps if you need them!

Setup (One-time)

Go to your Amazon Associates dashboard
Navigate to hamburger menu, Tools, Product Advertising API
If you don't have credentials or don't know your secret key, click "Add Credentials" to create new ones
Copy and save your Access Key ID and Secret Key somewhere safe
Note your Partner Tag (usually shown at top of dashboard)

Creating Links and Images

In the Product Advertising API page, scroll down to "Scratch Pad" (bottom left)
From Scratch Pad, click "Get Items" on the left sidebar
Fill in your credentials:

Partner Tag
Access Key
Secret Key

For Each Product

Get the ASIN number:

Go to the Amazon product page
Scroll until the product info bar appears
Click "Product Information", "Item Details"
Copy the ASIN number (usually starts with B)


Generate the code:

Paste ASIN into "Item IDs" field in Scratch Pad
Under "Resources," select "Images, Primary, Large"
Click "Run Request"
Click "HTML Response"


Copy the HTML:

Copy only from the first div to the last div
You don't have to copy the whole response


Add to your blog post

Create a Custom HTML block
Paste the copied HTML


Make it compliant:

Find both instances of target="_blank"
After each one, add a space and: rel="nofollow sponsored"
Change "N/A" (the one without quotes) to "Click here" or your preferred text


Preview to verify it looks correct!
