How to Synchronise Time to RTUs

Time-stamping for Automation devices like RTUs, PLCs, and other Intelligent Electronic Devices is essential. It allows for acquired data to be contextualised in terms of real-world time, allowing for accurate inspection and analysis of any plant operation.

In this video, we show how RTUs are able to synchronise time via the Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP), taking time-data from a local PC in place of a SCADA server.
