I think this might be the only sourdough starter ever made at remote Naked Island Alaska, that's how it got its name. Please use a scale for all your bread making, weight not volume is important.

Start simple if you've never made sourdough before. Mix 50/50 flour and water and let it breath for a week or two. Refresh/feed the starter every day or two. Once you have the nice active, sour smelling starter get to baking with it! Thousands of ways to do this but here is my simple way. Not overly happy with this loaf because its the first since I got back from work and I had my starter in the refrigerator the entire month. It only had one fresh feeding of flour and water to rejuvenate. Next one will be better.
