“Mirzapur was like shooting 3 films back to back. I am very picky when it comes to choosing long formats, and after Mirzapur, I couldn’t find myself doing anything else. The character of Guddu has changed a lot of things for me. Guddu is an unloved boy still looking for love and you will see more of it in Mirzapur season 3.”

Whether it’s as Guddu Bhaiya from Mirzapur, Joy Lobo from 3 Idiots, or Zafar from Fukrey, Ali Fazal has carved his way into the hearts of millions. Straddling the world of Indian and International cinemas just as easily, he makes every role his own.

Hailing from UP, he didn’t just dare to dream big but worked towards making those dreams a reality. Even the ‘struggle’ couldn’t get his spirits down. And over the course of his career, he made every common man believe that dreams do come true – a Guddu Bhaiya for real?
