I'm stuck in making a decision and was hoping you guys could help me.
I am at a point with my service now where everything is ready for scale and I want to start cold ads.
From the start, I have been growing purely from existing clients giving me more projects, referrals, and a bit of organic.
I have very little experience with cold ads and I'm stuck between the three options:
1. Do I hire a freelancer to do everything for me? (I.e make the creatives, make the ads, do the research and do everything needed to generate results). It would be completely hands-off.
2. I carry out most of the strategy myself but hire someone to do the creatives and the copywriting, and the building of the ads. So in this situation, I would be directing everything but having someone carry out the tasks I want to be done so I don't have to waste a bunch of time doing grunt work.
3. I learn cold ads and do everything myself.
In terms of budgets, I am looking to put around $2000 a month into ads (happy to go higher if needed).
I haven't got a budget in mind if I choose option 1 or 2 so open to what people have to say.
Last month my company did $16.3k in revenue and is expected to hit $20k-$30k this month.
I don't want to hire an agency for this work because I used to run an agency myself and I know how big the margins that the agency takes and a lot of the time it will be outsourced to a freelancer anyway. I also want to have direct communication with the person running my account and speak to them on a daily basis which an agency probably wouldn't allow.
In terms of what my company does, we help companies follow up with their warm leads faster and more often which means we can generate more appointments with the same number of warm leads. So any company generating warm leads, we can help.
We also offer our service as a white label to agencies so if a lead gen agency is generating a bunch of leads for their clients but their clients aren't following up properly, lead gen agencies can white label my service to follow up with their client's leads on their behalf making their service more valuable.
I am open to targeting agencies or targeting direct companies who need warm follow-up.
My main skill set lies in processes, systems, and scaling which I want to continue to work on, but the biggest piece missing right now is lead generation.
I can also offer any sort of crazy guarantees if that helps with the marketing. My service works so happy to do whatever to convince people of that.
I'm a big fan of Hormozi and he talks about stacking skills and that you should learn the skills, but I don't want to be the button pusher for long anyway so hiring someone to do this now makes more sense IMO rather than spending a bunch of time learning cold ads skills and then getting someone to do it in a couple of months anyway.
