Catalysts for Change | Mwihoko AVP Workshop

During a time when the nation was in turmoil, with youth protesting against a punitive finance bill and police responding with violence, we captured a different story in Mwihoko, a small village in Kiambu County.

In this documentary, we showcase an Alternatives to Violence (AVP) workshop organized by e-CATS, where the majority of participants were young people. Remarkably, four apprentices who had previously attended AVP workshops and were trained as facilitators helped lead this program.

The most touching part of this workshop was witnessing the participants' eagerness to make a difference in their lives, their community, and even nationwide. They recognized the various forms of violence around them and committed to playing a role in promoting peace and understanding.
