Welcome to English Class! (2023-2024)

Welcome to English Class.
It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself. My name is Andrew Taylor and I am your English Teacher for this term, starting today. In this course, I will be teaching you lessons that will enrich your Four Language Skills; that is, your Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing skills. In addition, you will be learning Communicative Grammar, North American Pronunciation and Intonation, modern contemporary and useful Idioms, Advanced and Effective Vocabulary, some Academic English, and Appropriate Workplace communication. Furthermore, I will be incorporating Canadian Culture, History and Citizenship. You are registered in this level because you are at a level where your comprehension and vocabulary are good enough that you can handle having real-world English language material thrown at you. You are a student that can work independently utilizing many available online resources such as free podcasts, documentaries, news clips, and lectures that you can access on YouTube. And if you encounter some challenges, I will always be here to make it happen for you. If you have any questions or recommendations, please reach out to me. I’m very open to suggestions.
