I noticed in past Tekkens. I would accidentally end up on the other side doing a move too quickly. It usually happened out in the open, so I didn't think anything of it.
I figured you could use it with your back against the wall for a position switch. Giving up damage for better positioning perhaps.
I am still messing around with the idea.

I haven't tested it against a real opponent yet. I'm currently living in a hotel until I move. Until I have better internet, please let me know what you find.
