Candombe Uruguayo on Congas!

Описание к видео Candombe Uruguayo on Congas!

Candombe is an Uruguayan music and dance style originating with African slaves. Candombe is to Uruguay what Rumba is to Cuba and Samba to Brazil - the national rhythm. This Uruguayan music style is based on three different Candombe drums: chico, repique and piano drums. For this video lesson, Edgardo will teach you how to incorporate tumbadora drums and also explain a key rhythmic figure in candombe similar to the clave (in 3–2 form) that is played on the side of the drum, a procedure known as "hacer madera" ("making wood").
