In 1895 the US Navy adopted the Winchester-Lee Rifle, and it was... well it was a choice. The odd straight pull tilting bolt... the strange manual of arms... the bizarre and almost broken looking floating extractor. It doesn't take too much analysis to see why the Lee Navy never caught on.
