Directed by Wes Ball, The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials is a 2015 post-apocalyptic action-thriller, and sequel to the 2014 film, The Maze Runner.

Based on the book series by James Dashner, the film continues the adventures of Thomas and his loyal group of friends, who have bonded over their shared experience as test subjects in the deadly Maze Trials.

The team must now overcome an even greater obstacle; traversing the ruined landscape of the Earth, occupied by fiendish survivors infected with a violence-inducing virus called the Flare. With the planet ravaged by solar flares, they flee into inhospitable territory with WICKD hot on their trail.
