A bicycle ride in the Burrard Street Bridge protected bike lane in Vancouver, BC (July 2023). Highlights include one-way protected bike lanes on both sides of the street, protected intersections, bicycle signal lights, tactile mats and updated paint markings.

Built in 2009, this protected bike lane soon became the busiest in Canada with more than one million riders crossing the bridge each year.

As part of the City of Vancouver's AAA cycling network the Burrard Street Bridge protected bike lane provides safe connections to other protected bike lanes including Cornwall Avenue, York Avenue, Burrard Street and Pacific Street.

As we cross the Burrard Street Bridge we see continuous protection with concrete barriers, seating, and a great view of the City of Vancouver.
