The Judges and Magistrates Vetting Board yesterday, Wednesday morning broke away from the norm, upon Lady Justice Martha Koome's personal request, that her vetting be done publicly. Key among the complaints raised against her, were rulings she made to do with inheritance, an issue that opened discussions about customary laws and the way the Judiciary conducts its affairs. One of the witnesses in the vetting was Royal Media Services Chairman, Dr. S.K Macharia and as Willis Raburu reports, past rulings delivered by judges appear to be the measuring rod for the integrity, competence and suitability to continue serving in a reformed judiciary.
