Nintendo Switch Controller Configurations (for single or 2 player games)

The Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons can be used in a number of different ways. Here are 4 useful Nintendo Switch controller configurations: 1. ON THE SIDES OF THE CONSOLE CONFIGURATION. One of the most common configurations is sliding the left and right joy cons onto the left and right sides of the Nintendo Switch Console. Remember the blue controller goes on the left and the red controller goes on the right. Push the joy-cons down so that they lock in place. To remove them from the console, simply press each of the black release buttons, then slide each side up and out of the console. 2. JOY-CON GRIP CONFIGURATION. When the 2 controllers are paired with the joy-con grip, the result is a configuration that feels like a traditional-style video came controller. You just slide each joy-con, left and right, into the appropriate side of the grip until they lock into place. To remove the joy-cons from the grip, just press the release buttons on the back of the joy-cons and slide each joy-con out of the grip. 3. JOY-CON STRAPS CONFIGURATION. Use the Joy-Con straps for games that require swinging your arms. Line up the minus and plus symbols on each strap and joy-con. Then you simply slide the straps into each side of the joy-cons until they lock into place. The straps feature prominent L & R buttons and wrist straps for keeping the controllers from coming off of your wrists. To remove the straps, simply press the release buttons on the back of the joy-cons and slide off each strap as shown. 4. JOY-CON 2 PLAYER CONFIGURATION. The 2 joy-con controllers can also be used as individual controllers for supporting 2 player games, which my wife and I have found very useful when playing MarioKart together. On the menu, just double tap controllers. Then tap change grip/order. Then press the L and R buttons together on each controller, once controller at a time. Then you will be able to use the joy-cons for two player games.
