Hiking to the Praying Hands and Slot Rock in the Superstition Wilderness

Hi,

This video trail guide takes you to two unique rock formations in the Superstition Wilderness—the Praying Hands and the Slot Rock.

We started this hike just down the road from Lost Dutchman State Park at the first parking area/trailhead off of First Water Road. We used a combination of the Jacob's Crosscut Trail, Treasure Loop Trail, Praying Hands Trail and other unmarked trails that made a loop.

Things to Know – The Praying Hands & Slot Rock
Location: 40 east of Phoenix, Arizona, near Apache Junction
Trails: Jacob's Crosscut, Treasure Loop, Praying Hands & unmarked trails.
Trail Hours: 24/7 from First Water Road Trailhead #1
Distance: -4.5 miles (round trip loop)
Difficulty: Moderate
Elevation Gain: ~950 ft
Time: 2.5 - 3 hours
