This is a new tutorial series were we will cover Photon Quantum 2 which is used by Stumble Guys, Battlelands Royale, LEGO Brawls, LEGO Star Wars Battles and many more mega hits. Quantum is fully deterministic and essentially an entire multiplayer game engine. A game written in Quantum does not have to worry about networking as such as everything is always in sync. It is suitable for Top down shooters, brawlers, RTS, Racing, MOBA, Sports, Turned based and many other types of games. However if you are looking to build a FPS we recommend that you have a look at Photon Fusion instead. Quantum works together with Unity and support for Godot and Unreal is coming soon.

Photon Quantum is a deterministic multiplayer game engine used in many famous online games. It free for anyone to use but to get the AppID you'll need to answer a survey but after that you'll instantly get access to your AppID.

In this episode we'll cover how to setup Quantum and get input and basic movement to work.
