Day 7 of my 15-day holiday journey through 5 countries!

Today, I'm embarking on a visit to the Santa Claus Village, a real-life winter wonderland. This iconic destination offers a quintessential Christmas experience.

To make the most of my visit, I'll be sure to grab a map from inside the village as it's quite expansive. Entrance is free, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the magical atmosphere. Transportation can be a bit tricky. While the "Waltti Mobile" app provides information on local buses, their schedules can be unreliable. Uber is an option, but it can be costly. For those with a higher budget, renting a car offers greater flexibility and convenience.

The village itself offers a variety of activities. Meeting Santa Claus and receiving a certificate are must-do experiences. Exploring the Santa Post Office and browsing the unique gift shops are also highly recommended. Numerous private tours are available, even from countries like Malaysia and Singapore. While Northern Lights chase tours are an option (€99), it's important to remember that sightings are not guaranteed as the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon.

To avoid the crowds and enjoy a more relaxed experience, it's best to visit outside of the peak Christmas season, particularly the last few weeks of December.
