Tim Lang at La Morena in Todos Santos. Last Friday night (January 11th), Tim had a great band - Mark Attalla on lead guitar and vocals, John Holmes on harmonica and vocals, Ashbolt Stewart on drums, Lucas Bennet on bass and Lorena Lang on Congas – at La Morena in Todos Santos.

Starting out solo on his Gretsch acoustic/electric guitar, Lang played one of his own songs, "This Love for You" and then "Island in the Sun." In a non-stop three hour set, he and the band played 42 songs, eight of which were his own from past CDs – Post Surf, Water - or upcoming Life at Sea. His own music has the flavor of Baja and he even changes some of the lyrics of classics to include Baja and Todos Santos. His set list included classics from Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Johnny Cash, rock from Eric Clapton, Stray Cats and Chuck Berry, R & B from Otis Redding, Richie Havens and The Temptations with lots more in between. His solo version of Hallelujah was exquisite. Lang and Mark Attalla ended the evening with "Here Comes the Sun."


The music was complemented with great food, service and a crowd that danced, sang along and clapped and cheered for the band.
