Cylindrical roller bearings are a type of rolling-element bearing that supports high radial loads. They have cylindrical rollers as opposed to balls in ball bearings, which allow them to handle heavier loads and higher speeds. There are several types of cylindrical roller bearings, each designed for specific applications and operating conditions. Some common types include:

Single Row Cylindrical Roller Bearings: These bearings have a single row of cylindrical rollers arranged in a cage between inner and outer rings. They are capable of carrying high radial loads and are often used in applications where radial space is limited.

Double Row Cylindrical Roller Bearings: As the name suggests, these bearings have two rows of cylindrical rollers arranged back-to-back. They can carry heavier radial loads and are more rigid than single row bearings. Double row cylindrical roller bearings are suitable for applications requiring higher radial stiffness and load-carrying capacity.

Full Complement Cylindrical Roller Bearings: In these bearings, the cylindrical rollers are in direct contact with the raceways and there is no cage to separate them. This design allows for maximum radial load-carrying capacity but sacrifices some speed capability due to increased friction.

Multi-Row Cylindrical Roller Bearings: These bearings have multiple rows of cylindrical rollers arranged in parallel. They are capable of carrying extremely heavy radial loads and are used in applications such as rolling mills, where very high load-carrying capacity is required.

High-Capacity Cylindrical Roller Bearings: These bearings are designed with special cage designs and optimized internal geometry to increase the load-carrying capacity and extend the service life. They are used in applications where high radial loads and reliability are critical.

Split Cylindrical Roller Bearings: These bearings consist of two separate halves that are bolted together around the shaft. They are used in applications where it is difficult or impractical to disassemble machinery to install or replace bearings.

Each type of cylindrical roller bearing offers unique advantages and is chosen based on factors such as load requirements, speed, mounting constraints, and operating conditions.
