Lovebirds Roseicollis Aviary - Wednesday, December 8th, 2021

This time they didn't really want to eat, because we seemed to be feeding them too much. They are full. The perch rope that used to be tight and strong is now loose and is being crushed by these lovebirds. This roseicollis lovebird has a larger body than the fischer lovebird and personata. And this type of lovebird also has a louder sounds than the Fischer and personata lovebirds. This type of lovebird, if it bites, is sharper and easier to break things. We have replaced their trays with stainless ones, and we have also replaced their drinking bowls with stainless ones. We just realized that there was such a thing.

There are several peach-faced lovebirds (rosy-faced lovebirds) that we separated from them, and we placed them in special breeding cages. Like the Lemon and Melon pair (Red-headed Lutino and Red-headed Green Opaline), they are currently incubating their eggs. There is also a pair of White-headed Blue Pallid & White-headed Olive Opaline, they also lay a lot of eggs and are incubating the eggs. And most recently, the Orange-headed Green Opaline and Orange-faced Slate pair.

It's been raining a lot in my area lately, so I can't record much. In Europe it has snowed a lot, and in some other places it has. In Indonesia, a volcano recently erupted and emitted a lot of ash, Mount Semeru. We hope all of you are always well.
