Ebang Chairman Dong Hu shared a letter to the shareholders earlier today that could potentially be huge news to SOS Limited stock and other shorted stocks by Hindenburg Research.

SOS hit a critical inflection point where there were a mere 85,000 shares left to short and the borrowing rates peaked at 12.63%. At the same time, Crypto is getting massive attention with the Coinbase ($COIN) IPO tomorrow, Bitcoin (BTC) broke through the roof of the all time high of 62,100 and peaked up towards 63,700 mid-morning, Etherium (ETH) peaked at $2,316. $RIOT was up +15% on the news today. Meanwhile SOS had good news yesterday, and is also expecting more good news in the coming day(s).

By every single metric I’ve been looking at, the shorts must be shitting themselves right now because this stock can only go up from here. Ohh they’re really sweating right now.

AVAILABLE SHORTS:
Many of you will remember last week when we had a 29% short volume on 100M traded. Looking at the data, the day started with around 2.4 million shares available to short, and ended with around 800,000. Similarly, Thursday April 8th saw similar action with around 23% short volume and ending with around 1 to 1.5 million shares available to short.

Today the situation is extremely grim for short sellers. They ran out of shares to short.

This morning the available shares started at or around 1 million and quickly plummeted to a low of 85,000 mid-morning. Most of the day shares available to short swung between 100k to 150k only.

They are backed into a corner with virtually no options at this point. They have no volume to play their dirty games.

BORROWING RATE:

Shares that are borrowed to short have to pay interest on those shares the longer they hold them. The borrowing rate is how much they pay, and damn do they hate it when it goes up. Luckily for us, it shot up 62.7% since last week. Yes. Rates were 7.77% on April 9th, and 12.64% at a peak today. This puts more pressure on shorts.

CRYPTO MARKET:
Bitcoin (BTC) has primarily been trading between $52-59k for the majority of the last month. This past weekend BTC pushed into $61k momentarily on Friday. Today however, BTC broke through the roof of it’s past record of $62.1k all the way up to $62.7k in the morning. Etherium (ETH) had very similar results and hit $2,316 today.

BTC market cap is now a nice-even, $1.5T. That’s important because it’s a mental number. When it was headed down in March it couldn’t lower past the $1.0T mark, and with Coinbase ($COIN) going public tomorrow puts additional awareness on Crypto and we may see support at $1.5T.

$RIOT had a party today, pushing up +15% and even higher in after hours gracing close to $60. Crypto directly affects the earnings of these stocks, and RIOT cleared showed that. However, RIOT in comparison to SOS is interesting. When looking at earnings and PE ratio, RIOT has a PE of negative -138.04, meanwhile SOS is positive +28.24. You tell me which company should be $60.

$SOS NEWS:
Yesterday SOS announced a non-binding LOI to acquire majority equity interest in U.S. Based Power Plants. This is planned for it’s crypto-mining operations in North America--a huge step for the company and one that should bring confidence and break through the ‘China’ related trading fears. In pre-market SOS was up ~10% before shorts took it down.

A few weeks ago $SOS also had a $125M direct offering (didn’t dilute, don’t worry!) to fund an additional 5,600 miners expected to be delivered by April 15th. They currently have 10,000 mining rigs so that’s an increase of 56%, being delivered within 2 days of BTCs all-time high, during chip shortage!!
