In this video, we take on the challenge of reviving a 1981 Porsche 924 that we recently acquired from a local junkyard. After months of dealing with title issues, we finally get the Porsche home, only to discover that this junkyard find needs a lot more work than we anticipated.

The problems start immediately with faulty wiring that nearly sets the car on fire when we first install a battery. From there, we find out that the starter is missing, and after solving that, we hit another wall— the fuel pump won't engage, and there's no spark. Further diagnostics reveal that the distributor is incorrect— a European model installed in an American car. Unfortunately, by the end of the video, we’re unable to source the rare hall effect sensor style distributor needed to get the engine running.

Watch as we dive into the challenges of reviving this Porsche 924 and see if we can bring it back to life, or if this project ends in frustration.

If you have any leads on The US Spec Distributor for purchase or how to rewire the car for a European Spec Distributor please comment or email us at [email protected]
