Mod Arturia 3u Rackbrute cases to add 74hp to your eurorack

With two Arturia 3u Rackbrute eurorack cases, I was able to modify them to add 74hp to the 168hp that would normally be available, putting this modification on par with the space provided by the Intellijel 104 Perfromance case.

Why?
1. The key reason is portability. That is, to not be tied down to one physical space, and yet have significant hp to house a variety of modules. A 6u + 3u Rackbrute combo is just that much bigger and heavier to lug from one room to play in another.

2. Used 3u Rackbrutes are inexpensive relative to comparable modular cases. And they provide excellent mA and power slots for their size.

3. Modifying instruments is fixating, challenging, and rewarding. This is made mine, and as a result I have a different relationship with this object/instrument.

Rationale relative to Intellijel:
-2x 3u Rackbrutes (£120 x2 = £240 used): (242hp) 40 slots and +12 V output at 3200 mA +5 V output at 900 mA (x2 = 1800mA)
-Intellijel Performance 104 7u (~£500 used): (240hp) 28 slots and +12 V output at 3000 mA +5 V output at 1500 mA

How I calculated the additional HP:
-Top and bottom 1u: 78hp 1u + 80hp 1u = ~40 3u (assuming 1u conversion is: ¼ or 20hp 1u = 5hp 3u)
-Top and bottom 2hp: 6hp + 6hp (kick, snare, hat & LPG, LPZW WK2, nearness) = 12hp
-Back of top: 22hp 1u (mult, usb, 3ATT, gate/wave adder, 2 switches, passive dis) = ~6hp
-Back bottom: 24hp (fsr, lpg, usb, midi) = ~6hp
-added 10hp with power move to back
Total added: 74hp

Obviously the Intellijel Perfromance case is better in almost all ways, but this DIY mod is cheaper and I enjoyed the planning and excecution of this project.

*A USB isolator (HIFIme) cleaned up the USB powered Korg mini KP2s at the end of my signal chain. But as I say in the video, the Keystep doesn't add any noise.
