A mental image of chipped armour for my Space Orc Pirates lead me to do some experiments with chipping effects. Having tried chipping medium in the past, not quite convinced, I was after something a little more random and effortless. In the end settling for a surprizing candidate, resulting in the best chipping effect I have achieved so far.
