Wadahans, Fifth Mehl, First House:

ik oankaar sathigur prasaadh |
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ath oochaa thaa kaa dharabaaraa |
His Darbaar, His Court, is the most lofty and exalted.

anth naahee kish paaraavaaraa |
It has no end or limitations.

kott kott kott lakh dhaavai |
Millions, millions, tens of millions seek,

eik thil thaa kaa mehal n paavai |1|
but they cannot find even a tiny bit of His Mansion. ||1||

suhaavee koun s vaelaa jith prabh maelaa |1| rehaao |
What is that auspicious moment, when God is met? ||1||Pause||

laakh bhagath jaa ko aaraadhehi |
Tens of thousands of devotees worship Him in adoration.

laakh thapeesar thap hee saadhehi |
Tens of thousands of ascetics practice austere discipline.

laakh jogeesar karathae jogaa |
Tens of thousands of Yogis practice Yoga.

laakh bhogeesar bhogehi bhogaa |2|
Tens of thousands of pleasure seekers seek pleasure. ||2||

ghatt ghatt vasehi jaanehi thoraa |
He dwells in each and every heart, but only a few know this.

hai koee saajan paradhaa thoraa |
Is there any friend who can rip apart the screen of separation?

karo jathan jae hoe miharavaanaa |
I can only make the effort, if the Lord is merciful to me.

thaa ko dhaeee jeeo kurabaanaa |3|
I sacrifice my body and soul to Him. ||3||

firath firath santhan pehi aaeiaa |
After wandering around for so long, I have finally come to the Saints;

dhookh bhram hamaaraa sagal mittaaeiaa |
all of my pains and doubts have been eradicated.

mehal bulaaeiaa prabh anmrith bhoonchaa |
God summoned me to the Mansion of His Presence, and blessed me with the Ambrosial Nectar of His Name.

kahu naanak prabh maeraa oochaa |4|1|
Says Nanak, my God is lofty and exalted. ||4||1||"
