Beavers Bend State Park, OK

In the fall of 2019, the Two Tired Teachers visited Beavers Bend State ark in Oklahoma. Beavers Bend is in a part of the Ouachita National Forest.

Situated in southeastern Oklahoma, Beavers Bend State Park is outside of Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Four entrances are available to get into the park. We mention that because we chose the first one, and our reservations were in the third entrance. It was a bit tricky trying to find our camping loop in this massive state park.

In Beavers Bend, each camping loop warns you not to stop in a site without a reservation. The park has cabins of varying sizes. The park offers some huge cabins and some smaller ones.

The one negative is the dump stations. The one near the loop where we were had been cemented over. After a heavy rain, the dump station that was five to eight miles away from our campsite was full. We had to drive to our next destination with our tanks full.

The park is beautiful. The scenery was almost magical. You couldn't hope or anything prettier.

Outside the park are many touristry things.
