Tutorial How to remove screen on 2011 iMac 27"

It's not difficult but you do need to be careful. In particular, avoid touching the LCD panel once you remove the glass screen. And do not tilt the screen out more than a couple inches once you get the screws out because you must carefully remove 4 cables from their connections.

The only tools you really need are a Torx T10 bit and then a plastic ruler to assist in prying the LCD panel out of the iMac shell. A pair of tweezers might be helpful as well but not entirely necessary.
