Cribbage Video #4 (a) The Point Count & Play..

I made this video twice, in slightly different manner. So, you can pick one of the session 4 videos / or the other / or both! This one is my preference so far. But let me know if you prefer one over the other for ease in understanding. But mostly you probably won't care... soooo here is a point count reference to keep your brain from exploding (maybe)

CRIBBAGE COUNTS

PEGGING DURING CARD PLAY:
15 count or 31 count exactly = 2 points
Runs of 3 or more = 1 point for each card in the run
Pairs (2 of a kind) = 2 points
Pairs Royal (3 of a kind) = 6 points
Double Pairs Royal (4 of a kind) = 12 points
NOTE: If a Jack is cut as the starter card, it is referred to as “HIS HEELS” and the
Dealer gets 2 points. Take those points as soon as the Jack is exposed.

COUNTING YOUR HAND:
Any Combination of 15 is 2 points

Runs of 3 or more is 1 point for each card in the run

Double Runs: A run of 3 or 4 cards, with one card duplicated.
A 3 card double run is always worth 8 points
Such as 9 10 10 jack
A 4 card double run is always worth 10 points
Such as 10 10 Jack Queen King

Double Double Runs: 3 card run with an extra duplicated card = 16 points
Example A A 2 2 3

Triple Run: a run of 3 cards, with one of the cards in triplicate - 15 points
Example 2 2 2 3 4
Pairs (2) Royal Pairs (3) and Double Royal (4 of a kind) are the same as above.
2 points 6 points 12 points

FLUSH: A HAND IN WHICH ALL CARDS ARE THE SAME SUITE = 1 POINT FOR EACH CARD
NOTE: If the starter card is not the same suit as your counting hand, you still get
Credit for the flush, however in order to receive any points for a flush in the crib, the starter card must ALSO be the same suit as the rest of the cards in the crib.

NOBS: have a jack in your hand which is the same suit as the starter card = 1 point.
