This video it was intended as a comprehensive tutorial for the beginners and medium-level auto modeler.

Another challenge for the modeler is how to re-paint a die-cast model. These are coming pre-painted and most of the time the paint job on them isn’t all that good or just it is not the favorite color of the modeler. Painting a die cast model or a plastic model are following largely the same principles, but it is completely different in regard to surface preparation. If you are new to die-cast models, please have a look!

The main objective of the video it was to test in depth the Tru-Color paints range. This is not a superficial test like spraying a little paint on a piece of scrap plastic or a plastic spoon. This is a real-life test, with all good and bad events that are occurring during a complete paint customization.

Disclaimer: The paints were sent to me by TCP on my request for review, but I am not under contract to say anything or to do anything to enhance the company’s profile. Here are my honest opinions in an almost exhaustively documented video experience that speaks for itself. Please note that some of my information is obsolete – TCP are enlarging their paint range by the day. For instance, at the time of shooting this video, no primer was available from the company and that is why I have used Mr. Finishing Surfacer 1500 gray. Other than that, please appreciate yourself!
