Harris Film 095 - Steven Pass to Yakama Canyon. The video begins in the Stevens Pass area then progresses into the Yakama Canyon along the Yakama River. Harris left no notes as to dates or places. Viewers who are familiar with the area may be able to identify locations. I’m sure the time is mid 1970’s. BN and Milwaukee Road freight is shown as well as Amtrak. As far as I know, the Amtrak route that went through Yakama was eventually rerouted northward to the present route of the Empire Builder by 1981. I think the Amtraks in this film are the North Coast Hiawatha and Empire Builder but I’m not sure which is which.
