Chilling in the shallows of Smugglers Bay with Turkuaz Dive Center - Bodrum, Türkiye

Typically we just pass through the shallows Kaçakçı Koyu / Smuggler's Bay on the way to check out the area's awesome wall or to visit some of the deep areas where there are grouper, jackfish, and occasional rays. On this dive, we chose to ignore the temptation to go to the depths to stay in the super interesting shallow areas, that we often just save for night diving.

The shallows do not disappoint. The interesting rock formations, tidal rooms, and of course the fascinating sea life makes for an enjoyable and interesting dive.

On this dive, we were awed by schools of fish, found a splendid crab, numerous nudibranch, lionfish, and so much more. The topography alone makes many visitors' favorite places to visit.

About us: Turkuaz Dive Center is the premier dive center for scuba diving experiences in Bodrum, Turkey. Since 2014 we have been a 5 Star PADI center. Aside from offering guided diving, we also offer training & PADI certification for new divers. We are also the only 5 Star PADI instructor development center in the Bodrum area. Many of our dive sites also are littered with Amphorea, relics of ancient Halicarnassus. Our staff consists of a large team of experienced PADI certified instructors and divemasters.
