On 10 June 2025, the Jacques Delors Centre invited Claudia Buch, Chair of the Supervisory Board of the European Central Bank (ECB), and Verena Ross, Chair of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), to discuss the future of the Savings and Investment Union: What concrete steps are needed to move forward? How can the separate policy agendas of the Banking Union and the Capital Markets Union be better aligned? And how can national and EU-level measures be made to work in concert?

The hybrid discussion at the Henrik Enderlein Forum of the Hertie School was opened by Cornelia Woll, President of the Hertie School, and moderated by Johannes Lindner, Co-Director of the Jacques Delors Centre.
