Coming from a family that has served three generations in the Indian Army, he was recruited as a sepoy into the 7th Kumaon Regiment. However, his unwavering commitment to education and self-improvement led to his promotion as an officer. After a distinguished military career, Dr. Roy retired as a Major and embarked on a new chapter in life.

Starting from scratch, he founded Skylark, a company that would grow to become one of India’s leading enterprises in toll collection, highways, and infrastructure. Despite his immense success, Dr. Roy never forgot his roots. Driven by a deep sense of service, he has consistently given back to society by building libraries, schools, temples, roads, war memorials, and more. His contributions have transformed countless lives and uplifted communities, embodying his philosophy of not just personal achievement, but social responsibility.
