A few weeks back, I did a recording session in L.A. & afterwards the engineer said something like “Man, I saw these videos of you online totally pounding drums & smashing cymbals w/ Samantha & I didn’t know how you were gonna be in the studio, but today you played so nice & easy, soft & controlled!” Yes, there is more to life than pounding drums & smashing cymbals. But at these big rock shows we always seem to get there eventually. #JazzFest #studiodrummer #livedrummer
