In Song: J'Nai Bridges

“I am a person that doesn’t like to be boxed in.” In the premiere episode of “In Song,” the new video series from San Francisco Opera, mezzo-soprano J’Nai Bridges invites you into her world.

Travel back to Bridges’s hometown in Tacoma, Washington, to witness moments of joy and inspiration, shared through intimate interviews, home video and song, shot in sweeping cinematic style.

“In Song,” episode one, features J’Nai Bridges, pianist Damien Sneed, drummer Jonathan Barber and bass player Michael Olatuja performing works including “I’m Determined to Walk with Jesus,” “I Don’t Feel No Ways Tired,” and Robert Schumann’s “Widmung.”
