Build a push pull tube amp retrofitting a Fender champion 20 solid state guitar amp

Another cool retrofit for your viewing. This time D-Lab will convert a solid state Fender Champion 20 to a push pull 6AQ5 amp. The heart of the amp is my ECB-AB driver board. These little universal boards make retrofitting a breeze. Also, since all of the circuitry is packaged, it makes for a noise free design. No more struggling with hum & buzz. The Champion 20 is a perfect candidate for conversion to tubes. Plenty of room on the chassis. The stock speaker sounds great! Plus, since they are still in production, chances are used ones will be clean and in excellent cosmetic shape. My boards drop right in.
