Mono!
See how much music you can do with 7 NTSC scanlines.

A request from follow artist Yazararchy.
Been wanting to make this for quite some time.

This song was made for ZX spectrum beeper with TriTone driver, for a web-animate that 404-ed long time ago and Winter Chip IX.
It has since then been covered many times, including a YTP video....
I came across it when studying how to be efficient, by mainly looking at how chiptune was done on ZX spectrum.
It's always a fascination how many notes you can get out of a clicker, with exotic modulations like PFM, click drums??

It uses the PWM almost like speech synthesizing. tho common on C64, but this is ZX Spectrum we're talking!

ABAC structure with a cool progression and awesome melodies.

Impressive, at every level. sound design, programming, composition you name it.

When Yaza asked for a song to go alone with his new DEMO, this song came to mind, as it's got partially no ADSR and only 3 channels it would save a ton of CPU cycles.

The result is significant, as it's only peaked about 7 NTSC scan lines to update peak.
Leaving ample CPU times for his works.

But, there's compromises.
As the song is written for PAL system, the tick rate is 50Hz, I had to use the risky Virtual Tempo that could result in aliasing on VERA to scale it to 60Hz.
It sounds fine, but the distribution of the commands is very spikey.
Some arp portamento operations were tasked to Furnace instead of writing every single Fnum to the chip, which is marginally lossy but sounds alright.

Hope you enjoy it!
