In this video, we go over the entire process of designing and manufacturing a robotic gripper. We used CNC machining to manufacture this metal robotic gripper and had it manufactured and quality controlled through Hubs. We’ll go over the design process, prototyping, ordering, manufacturing, quality control and finally testing the gripper with a motor.

00:20 Design process. We begin with discussing the design of the robotic gripper mechanism and what to consider when designing. CNC machining materials, surface finishes, and tolerances will be mentioned.

01:46 Prototyping. After the design stage of the robotic gripper mechanism, we go over the prototyping process in detail. You’ll see the different versions of the robotic gripper we made and what we changed at every stage and why.
