Alan Kay, born and raised in Georgia, developed a deep connection to nature during his childhood, crafting shelters with his beloved hatchet in the forests. This passion for the outdoors grew as he honed his survival skills, studying under knowledgeable elders to learn about edible and medicinal plants. In addition to survival expertise, Alan trained in combat, mastering barehanded, stick, and knife fighting, and further developed his abilities as a corrections officer with tactical medical training. Now, ready to test his limits on Vancouver Island, Alan has left behind his wife and children, determined to apply all his skills and push himself physically, psychologically, and emotionally in the face of new challenges.
