45 years of Auroville. The celebration 28-2-2013

Auroville was founded on the 28th February 1968: 45 years later, like every year, Aurovilians, guests, visitors and friends gather at dawn in the amphitheatre, where it is kept the lotus-form urn where handfuls of soil from all founding countries were deposited. In silent concentration, a big bonfire (dawnfire) is lit at dawn, waiting for the new sun to rise on anew year for this experiment in progress, listening again to the "Auroville
charter" in different languages. It is a pleasant occasion for meeting friends from Auroville and often from the remotest countries, who come here for the occasion. This is a short report from 28-3-2013 celebration.
