Part 4    • Attach Brim to Hat & Edging | Crochet...   Attach brim to a hat

Notes:
When crocheting the front post double crochet, pull up the loop a little higher. It helps the post stitches look neat and to avoid big hole in between of DC & FPDC.

How to make a chain ring: Slip knot & Chain 4. Slip stitch tightly to the first chain to form a ring.
If you prefer a magic ring. It's fine too. For me, I like the chain ring then I don't have to secure or weave in the beginning tail. So far I don't have problem with it.

Hat's size: 21.5 inch(stretch not included).
If you need to make it smaller, stop at round 6 or used smaller hook 3.5mm to 3.75mm. If you use a thinner yarn, just continue increasing until you have 6.75inch diameter flat circle.

Gauge check:
Two rounds - 2 inch diameter

If you have more questions. Feel free to leave it in the comment section.

I also used a plastic folder as an insert in the brim to keep the brim in shaped. I will show this on part 3 video.

This is my second pattern with this style of hat. This is the easiest one and my favorite. I make the hat and brim separately. If you need just the brim and attach to your existing beanie. This pattern will work but the hook size used should be the same. The whole brim pattern is in the part 3 video - here    • Crochet Super Easy Basic Brim | Styli...

English is my second language. My English speaking is not that good vocally. Thankful to my husband. He always helps me every time I'm unsure with instructions.
