Midge Ure - "Mr X" Live On The 1980 Tour.

NON SUPPORTER OF THE ULTRAVOX UNOFFICIAL REGIME!

In celebration of both the first self titled Visage album and "Vienna", his first album with Ultravox, Midge Ure gave us the 1980 Tour. The tour was a triumphant success in every respect and those of us who attended one of the shows were treated to the "Vienna" album in full and in chronological order.

This track could be classed as the fly in the ointment though. The original was not sung as such. More narrated by Warren Cann. As Warren wasn't part of this tour Midge took over vocal duties cleverly using a vocoder to disguise his voice and to reasonable effect. Although, as we know, nobody can replace the mighty Warren Cann!

So no criticism please. Enjoy this for what it is. The instrumentation is superb and very faithful to the original.
