Hotel Review: Motel One Dresden Am Zwinger, Dresden, Saxony, Germany - June 2019

A review of the excellent Motel One hotel, located in Dresden's Postplatz acroos from the iconic Zwinger.

I stayed at this mid-range business hotel in June 2019, I stayed for three nights on a room only basis, which cost 207 Euro. The hotel is located equidistant between Dresden Hauptbahnhof, Dresden Freiberger Strasse and Dresden Mitte railway stations on Postplatz. The hotel has only recently been built and is in excellent very modern condition. My room was a standard Motel One bedroom with air conditioning, open wardrobe, queen sized bed, bedside tables, desk, chair and a fully opening window with a great view over Postplatz towards the Zwinger. There were ample plug sockets.

The bathroom was clean, modern and shiny with an easy access shower cubicle, sink and toilet.

The reception staff spoke excellent English and gave great customer service, the bar staff likewise. This was a busy and popular hotel, and I can see why in terms of location, quality and price. I would certainly consider staying there again in future.
