Kumbhakarna Himal, also known as #Jannu, is a majestic mountain peak located in eastern Nepal. It is the 32nd highest mountain in the world. It is called #Phoktanglungma/#Phaktanglung, literally "mountain with shoulders", in the Limbu language, and is sacred in the Kirant religion.
We had the opportunity to hike from Phidim Panchthar to its basecamp approx. alt.4600M. The trail to Kumbhakarna Himal takes you through beautiful forests and rivers, offering breath-taking views of the surrounding landscape.

As we hiked, we encountered steep ascents and rocky terrain, but the journey was well worth it. The trail was well-marked, and I felt safe and supported by the friendly locals along the way.

The basecamp of Kumbhakarna Himal was a stunning sight, surrounded by towering peaks and glaciers. We stayed overnight at Khambachen, taking in the awe-inspiring views and peaceful surroundings. The experience of reaching the basecamp of Kumbhakarna Himal is one that we will never forget, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a challenging and rewarding hiking experience in Nepal. #goprohero9 #kumbhakarnahimal #trekking #kbc
