After cooking, I prepped the house for our little get-together. I started with the bathrooms (the most important room when guests visit!) and vacuumed all the floors—mopping didn’t happen and that’s okay. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s connection. The kids had fun, the house felt good enough, and we had a great night together.
