Sarwat belongs to a lower middle class family of classical singers from Faislabad (British Raj name of this city was Lyallpur). It is the same city to which Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan belonged.
It is only lack of funds which has prevented a talented singer like Sarwat from hiring a good composer, a songwriter and producing an audio album and a music video album of her songs . . . Big music composers in Pakistan like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan or Sahir Ali Bagga or Sajjad Ali or the tattered remains of Pakistan's latest blockbuster musical band Jal (Atif Aslam belonged to Jal once) or musical king makers like Prime Minister Imran Khan's buddy Mian Sallee (Mian Salahuddin who has launched many singers in Pakistan) are not interested in promoting such a shining and undeniable talent like Sarwat . . . It is a shame . . . Sarwat deserves to be sponsored . . .
